The wear and tear of steel wire rope can not be continued to be used,but some people feel that the steel wire rope is very strong and wear-resistant, and it is only sling wear and tear. There should be no problem.Continue to use the damaged device for high altitude work, this is very dangerous.
When working at high altitude,worker usually wear personal protective equipment,such as safety harness, lanyard, fall arrester.The upper hook hangs on the fixed point just above operation,while the lower hook hangs on safety harness of the operator.While the operator moves, the steel wire rope expands and contracts very freely with the movement of human body.If the pulling speed of ropes accelerates greatly, the locking system will automatically lock.After operation is done,the steel wire rope will automically return back to device.If the steel wire rope is worn, the safety performance of the device will be greatly reduced.Thus,the safety of operator can not be guaranteed and the fall arrester will lose its feature of safety protection products.So, if the steel wire rope is worn,please change the fall arrester to a new one and don't use it anymore.
